Warm Up?

And I thought to myself, that was the warm-up? Since when?
Hey guys! Here's my update! I woke up at six as usual and my legs didn't hurt nearly as bad as they did Yesterday! Thank goodness! We ended up getting lost on the way to cross country practice. It's alright though, we made it on time still. The warm-up was harsh. It wasn't nice grass like the other day. No, it was hard cement. Painful too. I got a really bad cramp that wouldn't go away.
Alright, so after we were all warmed up and ready to go we were told our groups. I was suppose to be in group one, but I accidentally ran group 2. Here, let me tell you the meaning of that. Group one, slowest group. Group 2, average. Group 3, fastest. We went out and I got a bit of a cramp, but I told myself that I could do it. If I could only make it back, I would feel better later. I thought that it was one mile, not two, but it was indeed two. The only thing I don't get is how that long path could only be two miles? Oh well.
So I ran and I came in with a 19 minutes and 33 second time. Now if I could get that on the three mile I'd be eccentric! I plan on doing so hopefully before cross country ends. Anyway, so I was very happy when I returned. That is until I found out that that was suppose to be the warm-up #2 and that the tempo run was suppose to be the second time around. I was too tired so I ended up walking most of the second two miles, getting a very sad time of 25 minutes.
Stretching was nice and I even made two new friends today which was nice. I love it when you have awesome people around you that just make you want to take off sprinting at the end of a long run, even though you feel like your legs are going to break off.
I was suppose to run another five miles tonight, but since I'm knew and I probably wouldn't be able to walk tomorrow if I did that, I just stayed home and did this. Of course I had some much-needed pasta for dinner, thanks to my fabulous mom. It was very good, might I add. Tomorrow I think I'm going to have to eat a banana, ripe or not. My potassium is much to low and I strongly dislike cramps. Although I love potassium, it was K on the periodic table, my favorite element. Anyway, wish me luck tomorrow!
